Gorila Gorillas are one of the most interesting animals in the world. They are the largest of the living primates, and can weigh up to 400 pounds. They are mainly found in the forests of central Africa, where they live in groups called troops. 

Gorillas are very social animals, and their troops are led by a dominant male known as a silverback. These gorillas are incredibly strong, and can be very dangerous if threatened. They use their strength to protect their troop from predators, and to intimidate other gorillas who might challenge their dominance. 

Despite their size and strength, gorillas are also very gentle animals. They have been known to show affection to members of their troop, and even to humans. They are truly fascinating creatures, and studying them is sure to teach us a great deal about the natural world.
