A. Compliment Expression 

Expression of compliment is an expression that we show or say to express give praise . Three things that need to be noticed in expressing compliment , as follow . 

1. General appearance 

2. When you visit someone house in first saw 

3. When other people do their best

Here are some expressions of compliment . 

1. What a nice dress !  

2. Nice work ! 

3. Good job ! 

4. You look great . 

5. You look very nice / beautiful / handsome . 

6. I really must express my admiration for your dance . 

7. Good grades ! 

8. Excellent !

SPEAKING 

Task 3 Practice the dialogue with your friends ! 

Dewi : " Tomi , you look great today ! I love your new hair style . "

Tomi : " Thank you very much , Dewi . You look great , too . " 

Dewi : " Thanks , Tomi . By the way , how was your test ? Have you got the result ? "

Tomi : " Yes , I've got it . You know what ? I have passed the final test . I'm so happy right now . " 

Dewi : " That's great . Congratulations ! How's the score ? " 

Tomi: " Thanks God . I got the highest score for the test . " 

Dewi : " Wow , that's amazing . I know you are very smart , Tomi . Well done ! "

Tomi : " Thanks for your compliment , Dewi . You are so kind . " 

Dewi : " Never mind , Tomi . It's my pleasure . "

Read the following dialogue carefully ! Esta : Hey , Ulfi . I loved your sweater that you wear today ! 

Ulfi : Really ! Why do you think so ? 

Esta : Your sweater is really matched with the color of your pants and shoes today ! 

Ulfi : I'm glad you loved it . I think so ! 

Esta : Where did you get that sweater , Ulfi ?

Ulfi : I bought it at the Mall yesterday !

Esta : It is A - Sweater Branded , right ?

Ulfi : Yeah you are right , how did you know that ?

Esta : Of course I know . It is a sweater Brand which is very famous nowadays . You have good taste in fashion . 

Ulfi : Yeah thank you ! Actually yesterday I was confused which one that I would take between A - Sweater or Z - Sweater brand !

Esta : Both models are good . But do not worry you have made the right decision .

Ulfi : You are right but I'm not satisfied with the color .

Esta : Why ?

Ulfi : Actually I'm looking for a purple sweater but they ran out of that color .

Esta : Ahh never mind !! Do not worry about it . Red color is also good for you . By the way how much it cost ?

Ulfi : It costs about Rp . 300.000 but I managed to buy Rp . 210.000 . Because there is a 30 % discount . 

Esta : Wow , you're so lucky ! I don't know there is a discount for that brand .

Ulfi : I think the discount is for this weekend ( Saturday - Sunday ) . So there is still a discount for today .

Esta : Really ? Can you accompany to buy that sweater ?

Ulfi : Of course .

Esta : Well then I will pick you up at 16.00 this afternoon .

Ulfi : Well I'm waiting for you at home .

Esta : Thank you , you're so good friend Ulfi : You are welcome .
